  • If you took Span 420 in Spring 2022, you should enroll in Span 530, 531, or 550
  • If you took a 500-level class in Spring 2022, you may enroll in any 500-level course – there are several, based on literature, culture, translation, linguistics, and professional Spanish
  • note: Span 550 is required of both majors and minors
  • Did you know??? Some Spanish courses fulfill General Education Requirements: Spanish 560 and 531 count for the Arts & Sciences U.S. Multi-Cultural overlay and Spanish 580 counts as an advanced Social Science

SPAIN: Summer Study in Spain: “Spain Today: Madrid, Pamplona y el Norte” with K-State Faculty and Students

Spanish 565 – Spanish Culture and Civilization  OR
Spanish 772 – Spain Today (as part of Dr. Bender‘s Summer Study Abroad program, “Spain Today: Madrid-Pamplona“). Students can choose one of these K-State courses and, in addition, they will earn Spanish 569 (Studies in Spanish) through the Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain. On the blog you can read about the research projects completed by students who enrolled in Spanish 772 (summer 2019). PREREQUISITE: Span 550

MEXICO: Summer Study in Mexico: Spanish and Culture in Mexico, with K-State Faculty and Students

June 1 – July 3, 2023

Spanish 530 – Spanish for Business  –OR–
Spanish 568 – Intro to Latin American Literature
as part of Dr. Valentin-Rivera‘s Summer Study Abroad program in Mexico. This year’s program will be based in Playa del Carmen. Students will enroll in Spanish 530 via KSIS, then take Spanish 420 at the University in Mexico.
